Is DMADV technique a new invention? Not off course!
Employment October 31st, 2008Have you heard about DAGMAR approach? If no is your answer then learning that DAGMAR is defining advertising goal and measuring advertising result! There is no specific indication of a campaign programs impact assessment. Therefore such DAGMAR approach is introduced where predetermined target results will be compared with actual results of a campaign program. It is just like leaving everything on the shoulder of advertising tools and design. DMADV is quite similar approach nothing new. six sigma states this approach as defining and measuring goals and analyzing alternatives for implementing best course.
It involves several steps like;
· Defining and measuring the process design
· Setting and assessing goals and capabilities
· Identifying and analyzing alternatives
· Test run for evaluation.
See, certain stages are involved in executing the DMADV – but it is newest practice of same old sayings or approaches. It is just like bullying someone! Are ready to accept and appreciate six sigma for giving a new name on old techniques of management? Not really. Applicability and implacability cannot let you accept DMADV as complete 6 sigma contribution.
It is not wiser for us to spend money on learning the same thing! We better switch in exploring new perspective for self atonement and improvement. It is brain only that guides you with optimist results, get the brain cells function properly. Six sigma graduates have helped this terms spread out large. But no means it is the very unique and newest technique or managerial tool. it is just a 6 sigma’s latest adoption to apply on new perspective.
